The Firm of McManus, Schor, Asmar & Darden, L.L.P., provides legal services to corporations, trade associations, partnerships, small businesses, and individuals in the practice specialties of government construction, contracts law, commercial real estate and leasing, insurance and suretyship, general corporate matters, and litigation. The Firm's clients include Fortune 100 companies, national and international contractors, leading national and regional owners, government contractors, homebuilders, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.

The Firm helps clients manage risk and resolve business disputes that arise in the construction and government-contract industries. Our services include (i) assisting clients in drafting effective construction and project contracts, (ii) advising clients during the bidding process, (iii) advising and assisting clients in negotiating contract modifications, (iv) helping clients analyze, evaluate, formulate and review claims for presentation or response, (v) assisting clients in managing contract close-outs, and (vi) representing clients in mediation, arbitration, court and Board proceedings. For many of our commercial real estate owner clients, we also provide lease negotiation services. Firm members represent clients in proceedings before federal courts, state courts, and regulatory agencies throughout the Inted States; firm members also represent clients in matters before national and international arbitration tribunals and in matters before courts in foreign countries.

The Firm has a strong local practice: approximately fifty percent of the Firm's work involves projects or matters in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area, with concerns unique to this region. The Firm also has a national and international practice involving clients located throughout the United States and abroad.
